Thank you to Kayleigh over at Hazelnut Musings for posting this and allowing anyone to participate! You can read her answers here! A quick rundown on the book and/or books in my life.

Milly created this tag at A Books Neverland.

  • 1. How many books do you currently own?

HAHAHA, well, I *USED* to keep an actual spreadsheet of every book I owned. However, I gave up about five years ago when I got married. At the time, I had well over 1,500 books. My dream has always been to have a library like Belle did in Beauty and the Beast! This link will take you to ALL of the books I’m reading/have read this year!

  • 2. How many books are you currently reading?

Five. “The Adventures of Huckleberry Fin,” Mark Twain; “Mein Kampf,” Adolf Hitler; “Run, Walk, Crawl, A Caregiver Caught Between Generations,” Sarahbeth Persiani; “You’ve Got This!: The Life-Changing Power of Trusting Yourself,” Margie Warrell; & “The Origin of Names, Words, and Everything in Between,” Patrick Foote

  • 3. Choose a couple of books you read but didn’t enjoy?

“The Stand,” Stephen King

“The House of Seven Gables,” Nathaniel Hawthorne

  • 4. A cover buy? (I believe this means a book I bought based on the cover!)

“The Girl in the Red Coat,” Kate Hamer

  • 5. A book you own but hate the cover of?

“The Book Thief,” Markus Zusak

  • 6. A book you haven’t read in years?

Any of the Dear Diaries series – I LOVED those when I was in grade school!

  • 7. A book you will always recommend?

“The Holocaust Chronicles,” Editors Publications International

  • 8. All-time favorite book series?

Oh gosh… I can’t choose! I love anything by Judith McNaught or Nora Roberts. The Harry Potter series is incredible!! Also, the Twilight series (I know many of you are nay-sayers, but I can’t help it!)

  • 9. Where do you read?

ANYWHERE. On the couch, while my toddlers run around like crazies; in bed propped up by a pillow; in my favorite reading chair hiding from the two crazies; in waiting rooms for appointments; at family and friends houses when I have downtime. If I have my purse with me, there’s a high probability there are at least two books in it!

  • 10. What are the last two books you gave a 5-star rating? And why?

“The Holocaust Chronicles,” Editors Publications International – this book takes on the enormous responsibility of delving deep into the dark depths of what transpired during WWII when Hitler was reigning over the majority of Europe and murdering millions of people. It’s an incredible book, filled with more thoughts than I can even get to on here, and so worth reading.

“Dancing to the Darkest Light,” Soheila Adelipour – this book is a profoundly moving and personal story into Soheila’s journey from a young girl living in a land far away, to being uprooted and transferred to the USA in her teens, evolving into the tragedy that occurred she and her family as she got older. The story tells you how she’s risen and become a spokesperson for anyone feeling like they’ve got it too rough! Here’s my review!
