Coping is hard.  Coping as a child into puberty is even harder!  Everything seems to hit all at once, if memory serves.  Crud, I’m in my 30’s with two little ones, and I still get overwhelmed.  This cute book, written by Bryan Smith does an excellent job of teaching kids, both small and big, some tremendous stress-reducing techniques.  Check out his FB page here – he posts something almost daily; some free coloring pages, information on different activities, and so on!  https://www.facebook.com/authorbryansmith/

Focusing on stress stinks, which, it certainly does – he shows how to breathe correctly, listen to music, or just know when to change your habits a smidge to help reduce your stress level.

Learning how to cope with stress, anxiety, fear, and other feelings that cause pressure isn’t something that we’re born with knowing how to do.  It’s our job as parents, teachers, siblings, and even friends to find good ways to cope and share them.

Life is never going to be straight and narrow or smooth by any means.  But learning early on how to cope with feelings will undoubtedly help make the path a bit smoother. So go check out this fun and informative read and let me know what you think!  It can be found on Amazon and Wal-Mart, as well as on Boys Town Press (publisher)!

There’s also a downloadable Stress Stinks related activity guide for anyone looking to help kids along even further on the Boys Town Press site!

    1. I had never heard of one either! I’ve been working with quite a few PR firms to try and raise awareness on some of their kid’s books and this was one of them – definitely a good topic for kids to be aware of and learn about I think!

Come on, give me some feedback! :) :) :) THANK YOU!
