Do you ever feel like your life has just spun out of control, and it’s damn near impossible to get it back together? Me too, lol! The past several weeks for us have been insane! I’ve touched on the topic a handful of times, but it seriously just is ridiculous! I cannot stress enough about how much I HATE moving from one place to another! When will I get back on-track?!

I am happy with our new home, and I like the location, though I was skeptical about it. In general, the move has taken quite a toll on the rest of my family, immediate and extended, and me!

Personally, my blog has been suffering horrendously, and I am so very behind on my book reviews and product reviews too! I can’t wait to get back to “normal” with it and be posting consistently! Once a week is just not enough! Not to mention how far behind I am with my reading schedule! Plus, the whole having the boys home with me all day in and out is exhausting, not to mention my actual full-time job!

The breakdown of our “suffering”:

Declan and Tristan are shuffled back and forth between their grandparents’ home down here or our old house where we’re still cleaning and packing stuff! Or, they’re with their grandparents’ near our old home, since the two are a little over an hour apart! It’s crazy, and I think it confuses them a bit, as they always want to go home, but our new “home” hasn’t quite set in for them yet.

Declan and Tristan – at Grandma Hearns’ house, September 13th, 2020. Right on track with being toddlers!

Tyler has to wake up between 4/430AM every day, so he can have his “morning time” to wake up, and then be at work by 7 to ensure he gets his 8 hours of work before 230PM so he can drive the hour back home at a decent time. Or go to the old house to pick things up, or meet me there to work on it together. Either way, that’s two hours of drive time (minimum) a day for him, usually Monday-Saturday as he’s obligated almost every week to work over-time.

Extended fam:

My mother-in-law has taken an enormous responsibility from us by watching Declan and Tristan multiple times a week to help us make sure we get the most done at the old home AND the new house! (Thank goodness for pools that entertain the two of them safely, LOL!) This means her social life and any plans she has have gone to the shitter for a while, lol! Thanks, Barb!

Declan, September 2020, at Grandma Gegg’s house – safe in bed, right on track for being wild later on!

My father-in-law has been a HUGE help in cleaning up the old home’s yard, with mowing the lawn, and weed-eating. Not to mention bringing his trailer up on multiple occasions to help us transport things to the new home. It’s continuously back and forth for him too, and it’s not even his move! Lol.

My parents have been doing everything they can to help us as well, but since my momma still works, that’s not always possible with her. My dad is the repairman on anything I need! (seriously, I swear he can fix anything – send me a comment if you want his info and live in relative proximity to St. Louis, MO lol – he’ll accept payments 😉 )
He’s going to be replacing all of our windows on the new house once we order them to save us the cost of having a window company do it – so that’s thousands of dollars there! He’s a life-saver!

Time of year, too!

Plus, you know, it’s that time of year – fall, which means the big THREE for us – Halloween, Thanksgiving, then Christmas! PLUS, Declan’s birthday is early October (as IF I have time to plan anything, and THANKS COVID for ruining any chance of normality!)! Then, Tristan’s birthday is nine days after Christmas, LOLOL! Our track record is crazy for being busy! So this time of year, on a personal level, is SO INCREDIBLY CRAZY! What all do YOU have going on in your life? I’d love to commiserate with you, LOL!

Tristan, September 2020 grabbing a snack… in the new house. A hot dog bun?? Idk, he’s an odd one!
Grace, our newest addition (pup in the foreground) – Brenna too!

Then, in case you weren’t already aware – we’re insane! We recently got a new puppy…she’s about 11 weeks now LOL. Still, she’s doing rather well in terms of being potty-trained and adapting to her siblings, all 9 of them (including cats, dogs, kids LOL!). I am completely nuts, and have signed up to be a stylist with ColorStreet AND UsBorne books LOLOL! 😉 Told ya, I’m crazy – we should meet up sometime!

Regardless, I just wanted to fill you all in on us again, and check-in with all of you! I hope you are all having a phenomenal time and are as excited as I am about the upcoming holidays!

Love to you all,

Kelly Ann
