Cancer sucks.

This original book gives a glimpse into a child’s view of having a form of cancer.  A swift read, the point, is to show how quickly things can change and how much better things can be with a canine companion by a child’s side during their treatments!

The beautiful thing about this book, written by Ulrike Szalay and illustrated by Roberta Marovelli, is that you can substitute a lot of other childhood diseases in place of cancer, and the moral of the book remains the same.   Kids can get through the bad things in life, together with the help of the people & animals in their life who love and believe in them!

Healthy kiddos would benefit from reading this book, as well. The chances are that sometime during their life, they’ll meet and befriend someone who is or has been ill.  Treating them just like usual but still taking time to understand the background of that person will benefit everyone and make their friendship stronger for it.

Kids and pets are the most deserving of the help of the adults around them…they can’t do it alone, so any help that we can send their way is beneficial and much needed!  So buy your very own copy of this great book and share it with all the kids in your life; healthy or not.  For every book purchased, proceeds go to Project Hearts-N-Tails, a program of the Canines-N-Kids Foundation.

Side-note: Ulrike Szalay is also the President and founder of the Canines-N-Kids foundation! It’s a GREAT foundation that does just what you’d think! Explains how important it is to find a CURE for all forms of cancer that are out there! Check out the website here: https://caninesnkids.org/. Have you run into any instances in your life where it helped you to understand a person’s background to better relate to them?  Comment and let me know!

    1. That’s exactly what I thought when I read it! Illness doesn’t affect everyone directly sometimes, but it usually affects someone that you know!

Come on, give me some feedback! :) :) :) THANK YOU!
