Dolley, a labrador retriever, is a fire dog! She lives with Captain Herndon, and goes to work every day with him at the fire station! Willow, a greyhound, is a therapy dog! She and her best friend, Megan, have an essential job to do. They visit people and do what they can to make them happy and smile! Hospitals, nursing & veterans homes, and schools, to name a few places. They bring joy to everyone and are always careful to be gentle with the sick people, and teach the kids what therapy is all about! Let your kids get to know Willow, and understand that if they ever see a therapy dog, they’ll know what that pup is up to (and it’s always good!)
These books have a segment at the end, introducing the dog via a Q & A with the owner! Once you get to “know” them, the pups share tips with their readers about what to do in certain situations! I highly recommend these books to kids of all ages! My boys certainly enjoyed them and learning about the jobs that different animals can do!
