I’m not sure who all needs to hear this. But, TAKE A BREAK! Under the current world-wide circumstances, we all need at least one. I’ve taken a long break from this blog for almost the past week. I needed one, and it was time.

I’ve been busting my butt lately to get a post up every day. I have read countless books that I have from publishers companies looking to promote their authors and their stories. Up until this past week, I had consistently posted a blog entry every day for a month. There was no such thing as taking a break. That was all my fault, too.

I didn’t realize how often I needed to take a break even while trying to build my blog following up! This past week shed a bit of light on it, though, and I’ll be taking breaks more often. It was lovely the past several days just relaxing, spending time with my family, and taking time for just my husband and me.

I struggle with my mental health. I always have. My family has a history of depression, amongst other things, including dependency on questionable items. Therefore, it’s imperative for me to take care of myself, always. Thus, my break.

Now, from here on out, I’m still going to try to get a post up daily, as it’s enjoyable to me. However, if I don’t get one scheduled in time, that’s too bad. Missing a handful of days isn’t going to “kill” my blog, nor my followers. It may cause a dip in viewers for that day or those days, but that’s acceptable so long as I’m healthy.

Do you have anything like that where you struggle with making yourself take a break? I know that to succeed, we have to continually improve whatever it may be that we’re working on, but you have to make sure you don’t burn out, too!

So in case any of you were wondering if you missed something, or if I had stopped blogging, I’m not. I needed a break, so I took one!

Some of these photos I took within the past few days during my rest. It was beautiful here in St. Louis, Missouri! We had sunshine, some breezes flowing through, and HEAT! It was hot the past few days, for sure! I was happy to get to my in-law’s house to pick up the boys and swim for a while!

Speaking of my in-law’s, a quick note before I publish this post. A HUGE thank you to them for watching Declan and Tristan from Friday evening throughout most of Monday! They went swimming daily, and both are learning to be excellent in the water! Tyler and I couldn’t have had the break we had without you keeping the kids and entertaining them (while I’m sure they entertained you!)

What’s your favorite thing to do whilst on a break? Breaks don’t necessarily mean vacations, either! It can just be as simple as hanging out, watching movies or tv shows. Or reading a book! I’d love a comment if you have one to share!

Love ya,

Kelly Ann

Speaking of vacations, I still am dreaming of my next one! Another place we can’t wait to visit once most of the craziness subsides is the STL Zoo! A place I’ve been reminiscing of a lot lately is Ireland, and here’s my post on Giants’ Causeway if you’re interested in taking a peek!
