Do you know how to be free and fearless? Brittany Moser did. She’s a real example of living life to the absolute fullest before it’s gone! Brittany led a life fueled by passion! The passion of life, family, friends, fun, and everything that comes with living to the best of your capabilities! Unfortunately, Brittany came down with a painful and debilitating disease, Addison’s Disease.

Until the diagnosis, she and her father, Philip, were tackling an incredible bucket list of places to see and experience! They went all over, creating fun memories with one another! It’s hard for me to put into words the impact this book had on me or its possible impact on you. It’s sad to realize that beautiful light (Brittany) was taken from this world due to a disease we don’t know enough about.

Once Brittany passed away, her dad decided that he would do his best to complete their bucket list. She may not have physically been around, but her spirit was with him, and that was enough to complete the journey. With friends and family coming along when they could, he did indeed finish that bucket list.

I reached back out to Karina with Ascot Media News to see if I could ask Mr. Moser some questions related to Brittany, the book, and his experiences with everything. He got back to me very fast, although he is a super busy guy! To be honest, his answers are a bit short, but he wanted to do a phone interview, and with my boys, my FT job, and everything going on, I couldn’t do it – so forgive me for the short answers!

Our interview:

Me: You and your family are an inspiration. Now that you’ve completed Brittany’s final request, will you continue to explore and enjoy the beauty in her name for as long as you can?

Mr. Moser: Absolutely!

Me: What is your favorite quote? Why?

Mr. Moser: “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” Brittany’s insights were incredible; she saw beauty in common things.

Me: Out of all of the places that you and Brittany traveled together, which was your favorite?

Mr. Moser: Maroon Bells Brittany absolutely loved this place. She took the picture that is on the front cover of the book.

Me: What are you looking to accomplish in say, the next five years?

Mr. Moser: I would like a major motion picture made about “Free and Fearless,” starring Reese Witherspoon as Brittany and Tom Hanks as myself.

Me: You had shirts made in Brittany’s memory and acknowledgment of Addison’s disease – are you planning on possibly beginning a non-profit in her name that would keep the information present and available for people to learn more about the condition?

Mr. Moser: We donate $5 from each shirt and a $1 from each book sold to the National Adrenal Disease Foundation in Brittany’s honor.

Me: Can you tell me anything else about Addison’s disease? Are doctors and scientists able to come close to determining how to help people with this disease? Until reading your book, I had never heard of it before!

Mr. Moser: It’s rare, and one in every one hundred thousand and more needs to be done to find a cure.

Me: What would you say to your younger self if you could go back? Any advice or helpful tips?

Mr. Moser: Parenting is the most important job you will ever do!

Me: How many times have you been on television to discuss your journey since this all began? Does it get any easier with time?

Mr. Moser: 8 or 9 in four different states. It does get easier with time.

Conclusion:

Brittany’s journey taught me many things; I need to pay more attention to the small things in life as it’s not the big things that always get you; it’s the everyday beauty. Make sure you always stay close to your family and tell them you love them every chance you can! Take the trip; follow your dreams; ACCOMPLISH that bucket list! If you need help in those departments, check out the book, Behaving Bravely, by Anita K.

If you’d like to see more about this fantastic book or learn more about Brittany and her dad, take a look at the website. Free and Fearless is available at all major booksellers, as well as the website! I’m with Mr. Moser; I hope they turn it into a movie as well – I would be first in line to see it! Well, second to the Moser family! 🙂

Have any of you heard of this disease? What are your thoughts on this? I’d love to know,

Love ya,

Kelly Ann
