Begin by “Behaving Bravely” and take a chance to read Anita K’s masterpiece book itself! Recently, I did just that, and I’m so glad I did! After receiving an email from Trina with the Trina Kaye Organization, I discovered the book written by Anita. (This is a book review, and all thoughts are my own!) “Let’s be brave together,” Anita K.

A quick peek into this story:

Anita had her fair share of struggles growing up, and by being brave throughout her life, she has managed to overcome them all. For instance, some issues take longer than others, and some take time to instill over and over again. Her book’s primary focus is that if you keep at it, you will be brave, and you will get where you want to be!

Each chapter of ‘Behaving Bravely’ takes the reader on a bit of background through Anita’s life to get to know her while you read. She took several years developing her fundamental ideas on how to be brave, and she gives readers a detailed outline of how to accomplish being brave throughout the chapters.

There are several new keyphrases I gained from this book, too. One is benevolief (which Anita coined herself), which is a combo word of benevolent, and belief. The majority of people find that they are the person behind their doubts and fears. By changing our thought processes, we can improve our outlook on what’s holding us back!

The chapters also give a breakdown to help us achieve our life’s goals! Included are, there are instructions on starting up a journal (which I REALLY should do, like now!), create a personal barometer of self-confidence (this is a tough one!), and design a personal journey map (this was a new one, too, and equally fierce!)

After I finished this book and determined that I’m not anywhere near as brave as I should be, I sent a few follow up questions to Trina to send to Anita, and she answered me! YAY! A HUGE thank you to Trina for allowing me to receive and read this phenomenal book, which will be a helpful tool for the remainder of my life! A GIGANTIC thank you to Anita for sharing her story, and setting others up for success!

Here’s our mini-discussion!

Me: How did your family and friends react to your book?

Anita: Very positively! They were very supportive and many shared there were a few new areas where they learned more about me.

Me: Do you ever have trouble with your benevoliefs?

Anita: At first, YES. It’s a constant practice to mindshift our thoughts especially when they are personal and it can be difficult to be objective yet honest and gentle about ourselves.

Me: What is your favorite quote? Why?

Anita: “Life is what happens to us while we are making other plans.”
― Allen Saunders.  I love this quote as it is a mini life lesson filled with wisdom and managing expectations.

((How TRUE is this?!?!)

Me: Have you noticed an increase in clientele since COVID-19 came about? I imagine, both from news stories, and personal experiences of my own, that this pandemic has strained the majority of the population.

Anita: Yes. Unfortunately, in the areas of managing stress, relationships, and career changes.

Me: How long, from beginning to end, did it take you to get the book together and publish?

Anita: Around 3 years.

Me: What’s up next for you? What else are you looking to accomplish in say, the next five years?

Anita: I am targeting bigger media platforms to share my message as well as coaching in larger groups in various areas where we have gaps such as the educational arena and media as it pertains to many social issues.

Me: Besides your book, ‘Behaving Bravely, what would you say is your favorite book of all?

Anita: Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman

**I’ll be adding this to my #Goodreads page!

Me: Your book, ‘Behaving Bravely,’ delves deep into your past to explain who you are in the present and what you went through to get you here. The tools you’ve developed are incredible! Have you ever met anyone who just wasn’t able to implement the tools and have them work in their favor?

Anita:Yes I have had a few clients that chose not to implement the tools not because they were not interested but I feel they were not ready not that they did they resonate.

Me: What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time, if you have any?

Anita: Hiking and spending time with my daughter, both offer zen joy to me.

Me: What would you say to your younger self if you could go back? Any advice or helpful tips?

Anita: You are gonna be OK, stay brave and know that change is a constant.
